Our story
Named for a family that lights up a room.
“I was getting married and wanted an app for the day. The photo apps were fine, but none of them helped our guests actually meet each other. So I built the one I wanted.”
Building apps is our founder's day job. StarrParty ran at his own wedding, and it's named for his wife's maiden name, Starr, and her family's gift for stories. We're not a company built to profit off weddings. We built this to use, and we're sharing it.

What hosts ask first.
Do guests need to download an app?
No. They scan a QR code and StarrParty opens in their phone's browser, on iPhone or Android.
How do we buy it?
Tell us about your event with the Plan your event form, and someone will get back to you promptly with a secure payment link. Once you've paid, your event is set up and ready in minutes.
What about older or less techy guests?
It's built for them: big text and buttons, a one-minute tour, and a button for every gesture. Nothing is required, so guests play as much or as little as they like.
Who can see the photos?
Only people who signed in to your event. Nothing is public, nothing is posted anywhere, and there are no ads. You can review photos before anyone sees them.
Do we have to run it on the day?
Barely. Tap Turn event on as guests arrive and End event at the end, and we'll email you a reminder for both. A friend can review photos for you.
What happens to our data afterwards?
You can download everything for 90 days after the event ends. Then it's permanently deleted and can't be restored. We remind you a week before.
